okay wait, there’s something weird going on with the patch file
after restarting the game when it applies it, the folder size becomes 147 MB
the file in question is hutarigurashi.tpatch
i’m not sure if this is only happening to me but it happened twice
if ever the problem persists for everyone else, just delete that patch file

replace the old hutarigurashi.tpatch in the rar with the 1.18 one

okay that is very weird, the app.asar file in the resources folder still gets turned into 1 KB
i don’t know what’s causing this
always make sure to keep a copy of the 1.17 version (the base game without the hutarigurashi.tpatch file)

OKAY I FIGURED OUT WHY IT KEEPS ERASING ALL THE DATA OF THE app.asar FILE
rename the folder to something simple like “hutarigurashi” then copy the 1.18 patch into where the .exe is, start it, then it will ask you to restart the game, and it works at last

just refer to their blog for updates
currently there’s 1.181
likewise, make sure your folder has a simple name like “hutarigurashi” otherwise the game data would get deleted for some reason 😂

and … I still cannot find the different between each version XD.

an obvious bug still being obvious.
